I’d like to think I’m a very organized person, but that’s probably not the case, if I’m being honest! 😉 My 2017 planner is definitely helping me manage my time better and therefore I’m feeling much more organized and less ‘all over the place.’ I’m already getting the urge to go through all of our house and do some serious spring cleaning aka PURGE ALL THE THINGS (anyone else a borderline hoarder?!). My bags and purses reflect this tendency; I’m pretty sure I have like 8 lipsticks in my purse right now.
With that in mind, you wouldn’t be surprised to know that I’ve never been a light packer. I knew it’d be a challenge once baby came along to combine everything I have in my purse with everything I’d need for a baby; I knew I’d need a big bag. I was just hoping it wouldn’t end up being a suitcase!! As Charley has grown, I feel like I don’t need to pack quite as much as we did when he was younger (no extra set of clothes for blow outs, etc!). I still like to have things ‘just in case’ because I’ve got that ‘first time mom’ syndrome going on over here.
No matter what kind of packer you are, what does help is for everything to have its place. I think having a tidy house and clean surroundings helps keep your mind from being cluttered; I find I’m less anxious when everything has its place. When the lovely ladies at Carri Eight reached out to me to try their Horizon II Multi Diaper Bag, I was thrilled. This bag has so many pockets and yet it’s rather compact considering all that it can hold. I absolutely love the navy stripe, too; it’s so nautical! Definitely a classic style that won’t go out of style!
I’m not usually one to wish it was the next season before the current one is over, but this diaper bag is making me really excited for spring! I’ve already been using it daily and I’m loving it. It goes with so many different outfits (tell me I’m not the only one who changes their diaper bag to match their outfit!!) and it’s so functional. It makes me feel like everything has its place and It’s easy to find. Sometimes things get lost in my big bags, but not this one! There are so many interior and exterior pouches and zippers to keep everything handy and organized. This Horizon II Multi Bag also comes with a changing mat, which is a must. I’m a bit of a germaphobe (I think it has to do with being a nurse…) when out in public so I bring special wipes I’ve made myself and hand purifier wherever we go. At home it’s a different story; I let Charley explore and I hover less, because I also know I can’t put him in a bubble if I want his immune system to mature! Anyway, let’s just say this mat for changing diapers makes me feel oh so much better about changing his diaper in public places.
Carri Eight has graciously given me a coupon code for you all to use! Use code HL10 to receive 10% off site-wide! Psst: they have adorable picnic baskets!! Also, if you order the Multi Bag (navy stripe like mine or another design) you will get a FREE small pouch as a thank you! I love to put a couple diapers and wipes in there. Plus, it’s a perfect place to stash feminine hygiene products! Like I said, this Multi Diaper Bag literally has a spot for everything! I love it so much and I’m so excited to share it with you all.
